THE IMPRESSION EDITORIAL COMMISSION

The Impression Editorial Commission we received for their Bi-annual Print Issue was to create a double page concept and artwork reinterpreting an iconic movie scene, and we selected Bryan Singers 1995 cult classic – The Usual Suspects. Our version represents a Fall / Winter Fashion Line-up, where all our characters are styled in one designer exclusively.

Following our depiction of the famous cinematic line-up, we were also requested to create a supplementary project for their online viewership. Continuing the film in sequence, we follow our suspects as they get moved in to the holding cell where they get acquainted and the film’s storyline is officially introduced.

Casting and styling an editorial commission like this takes patience, and extreme attention to detail. When remaking such iconic moments, it’s important to add your own style while still respecting the nuances of the film, and capture the essence and mood of each on of our characters.
